Rep. Mike Thompson, who represents California’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared updates on legislative achievements and local events through his official social media account.
On November 14, 2025, Thompson reflected on federal investments made since the passage of a major infrastructure bill: “Three years ago, I proudly voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, a historic investment in America’s future. Since then, it’s delivered billions for California’s roads, bridges, transit, broadband, clean water, wildfire prevention, and clean energy. Sadly, the https://t.co/yO7AZkWWa6”.
The following day, he recognized local efforts to support veterans: “Proud to join the Santa Rosa Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs to honor our veterans. My office works every day to help local veterans access the VA care and benefits they deserve, and I’ll keep fighting for legislation like the PACT Act and COMPACT Act to support those in crisis. Thank https://t.co/OR5viEFA1W” (November 15, 2025).
Later that evening on November 15th, Thompson highlighted labor advocacy at a North Bay Labor Council event: “Honored to stand with the North Bay Labor Council yesterday. Labor movements built the middle class, and I’ll keep fighting in Congress to protect good-paying jobs and push back against the Trump administration’s attacks on workers. Congratulations to all of last night’s awardees https://t.co/aYgI0U4KC2”.
Thompson has served in Congress since replacing Frank Riggs in 1999. He was born in St Helena, California in 1951 and is currently 72 years old. Thompson holds a BA from California State University, Chico (earned in 1982), underscoring his longstanding ties to his district and state.
