Rep. Mike Thompson, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 4th district, posted a series of messages on social media over the weekend highlighting National Women’s Health Week, Mother’s Day, and local environmental efforts.
On May 10, Thompson wrote: “This National Women’s Health Week, I’m working to ensure all women have access to the care they deserve, regardless of their income or zip code. #NWHW https://t.co/jSCDdYv2vB”.
Later that day, he shared a message in honor of Mother’s Day: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms in our District! Today we celebrate your love, strength, and contributions. We wouldn’t be here without you! https://t.co/rK1gwzTbRv”.
On May 11, Thompson addressed local conservation initiatives: “Healthy rivers mean healthy communities. Grateful for the work that local leaders, researchers and community partners have undertaken in Knights Landing to protect and restore our riverways for generations to come. https://t.co/hIKMofOoHi”.
Thompson has represented California’s 4th district since 1999 after succeeding Frank Riggs. Born in St Helena in 1951 and an alumnus of California State University, Chico (class of 1982), Thompson continues to reside in his hometown while serving as a member of Congress.
