Rep. Mike Thompson, who represents California’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on community engagement and funding initiatives through a series of posts on his social media account.
On February 15, 2026, Thompson announced an outreach event for constituents: “THURSDAY: Members of my staff will be in Sonoma at the East Sonoma County Services Center from 5:30 to 7 PM to discuss issues impacting you and our community. If you need help with passports and visas, veterans benefits, IRS issues, agricultural issues, small business assistance,” he wrote.
The following day, February 16, 2026, Thompson posted about participating in a local event: “Great to join the Rohnert Park Chamber’s annual crab feed, celebrating our local businesses and community leaders while supporting the Chamber’s important work. Honored to be at Gerard Giudice’s table — always a fun night with great company and even better crab!”
Later that evening, he highlighted federal support for a local infrastructure project: “Proud to have secured $250,000 for the Tierra de Rosas Playground Equipment Project, the final piece of the Tierra de Rosas Public Infrastructure Improvements effort in Santa Rosa’s Roseland neighborhood. This funding will provide park furnishings and playground equipment for the”.
Thompson has represented California’s 4th district since replacing Frank Riggs in 1999. He was born in St Helena, California in 1951 and continues to reside there. Thompson earned his BA from California State University, Chico in 1982.
