Rep. Mike Thompson, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 4th district, highlighted community safety, local leadership, and mental health initiatives in a series of posts on May 11, 2026.
In his first post during Police Week, Thompson emphasized the impact of retail crime and the need for collaboration with law enforcement. He stated on May 11: “Retail crime raises prices for everyone and addressing it requires strong partnerships with law enforcement. During Police Week, I’m proud to support legislation that helps keep our communities safe. #FightRetailCrime https://t.co/fzu6whyezM”
Later that day, Thompson congratulated recipients of a local honor: “Congratulations to the “Heart of Napa Awards” winners. Your leadership is making Napa a healthier, more compassionate and resilient community. https://t.co/Agptqsce0x” (May 11).
Addressing mental health challenges in his district, Thompson wrote on May 11: “Mental Health is one of the biggest challenges impacting our country. That’s why Aldea’s work is so important as they support more than 4,000 people annually across our District. Thank you for all you do, Aldea, and I will continue fighting in Congress to expand mental health https://t.co/QIDc96QgNw”
