Rep. Mike Thompson, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 4th district, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account expressing opposition to funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and calling for the impeachment of Kristi Noem. The tweets also highlighted community engagement in Napa and recognized Black History Month.
On January 31, 2026, Thompson wrote, “More than a thousand people showed up last night for our STOP ICE Day of Action in Napa — people of every age, every background, and every party stripe, united by a simple truth: what’s happening is wrong. Impeach Kristi Noem. Stop ICE funding. Protect our communities.”
The following day, February 1, he reiterated his stance against ICE funding: “I’m a HELL NO on funding for ICE. Thank you to the over 1,000 community members who came out in Napa to support holding this administration accountable and fighting back against these tactics terrorizing our communities. I’ll keep up the fight to impeach Kristi Noem and stop ICE https://t.co/HCclSn3NiU”
Later that same day, Thompson recognized Black History Month with another post: “This Black History Month, we honor the extraordinary achievements of Black Americans whose courage, innovation, and perseverance have shaped our history, strengthened our communities, and continue to inspire future generations. https://t.co/vw1bZEW8Wb”
