Compass real estate professionals have donated $65,000 to non-profits in Wine Country to provide relief from Northern California wildfires. | Morguefile
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll across the nation yet there are regions such as Wine Country that have suffered more than a fair share.
The Northern California wildfires has compounded the challenges for non-profits, which have received a much-needed shot in the arm from Compass real estate professionals who have teamed up to make a 65,000 donation. The donation will be split among 17 Wine Country nonprofit entities in Napa and Sonoma counties a Compass press release reported.
The agencies that will benefit from the generous give provide a wide range of services to the region ranging from mental health treatment to children adversely affected by the wildfires to food banks, firefighting services and animal shelters. Real estate professionals, employees and leaders from Compass selected to following organizations for donations: Cappell Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Cloverdale Citrus Fair, Corazon Healdsburg, Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department, First Responders Resiliency, Geyserville Volunteer Firefighter Association, Humane Society, Napa Community Animal Response Team, North Bay Animal Services, Petaluma People Services, Redwood Empire Food Bank, Sonoma CART, Sonoma County Resiliency Fund, Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena & Calistoga, UpValley Family Center, Wildfire Mental Health Fund and Youth Voices for Mental Health the press release reported.
