Mendocino County Library issued the following announcement on Dec. 9.
The Mendocino County Library has a new online resource for residents: a YouTube channel, the place to go for stories, songs, crafts, poetry and more!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to provide the in-person programming that our patrons have come to enjoy. To alleviate the loss we have launched this YouTube channel in order to stay connected with our patrons and give them similar programming experiences as are available when our branches are open to the public.
The YouTube channel will be updated regularly and will include Mendocino County Librarians performing children’s storytime programming, reading picture and chapter books, singing songs and rhymes. There will also be STEAM/STEM craft programs for children and young adults, special guests providing craft instruction, and informational and instructional videos! We may also post fun videos about upcoming programs and library news. To find and subscribe to the channel search YouTube for ‘Mendocino County Library’ and subscribe.
The Mendocino County Library YouTube channel is a great alternative for those who do not have access to other social media sites as it allows access to our STEAM/STEM craft programs, storytimes and instructional videos when it is convenient for you. These videos will also be shared on individual library branch Facebook pages for those who prefer to watch on that platform.
