Of the 87,224 people living in Mendocino County in 2019, 50.4 percent (43,982) were women and 49.6 percent (43,242) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Wine Country Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 25,114-to-24,876. In the 65 and over age range, there were 9,912 females and 8,620 males.
