Of the 87,110 people living in Mendocino County in 2020, 50.5 percent (44,003) were women and 49.5 percent (43,107) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Wine Country Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 316. In the 65 and over age range, there were 10,334 females and 8,900 males.
