8.5% of Mendocino County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Mendocino County recorded an unemployment rate of 8.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,606 people out of the 91,534 living in Mendocino County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Mendocino County has decreased compared to the 8.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Mendocino County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 39,023 people who had a job during that time, 51 were employed in the Armed Forces and 38,972 belonged to the civilian labor force.
