Leggett Valley Unified School District's schools enrolled 125 students in the 2022-23 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 46.4% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 60.8% of the Leggett Valley Unified School District's total enrollment.

Leggett Valley Unified School District covers four schools within Mendocino County with its main office in Leggett.

Among the four schools in Leggett Valley Unified School District, Leggett Valley Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 58 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
