Potter Valley Community Unified School District's schools enrolled 276 students in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% more than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.1% of them were boys, and 44.9% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 54.3% of the Potter Valley Community Unified School District's total enrollment.

Potter Valley Community Unified School District covers three schools within Mendocino County with its main office in Potter Valley.

Among the three schools in Potter Valley Community Unified School District, Potter Valley Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 145 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
