Enrollment at Saint Helena Unified School District decreased by 2.1% compared to previous school year

Saint Helena Unified School District's schools enrolled 1,120 students in the 2022-23 school year, 2.1% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Saint Helena Unified School District students was white, accounting for 42.4% of the student population.

Saint Helena Unified School District covers four schools within Napa County with its main office in St. Helena.

Among the four schools in Saint Helena Unified School District, Saint Helena High School recorded the highest enrollment of 443 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
