UC Davis baseball tops UC Santa Barbara 10-6 behind Pezzolo’s pitching

Former Cardinal Newman High School star Jack Pezzolo helped the UC Davis Aggies defeat the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 10-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game held Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m.

Phil Swimley Field at Dobbins Stadium hosted the matchup, marking the teams’ third meeting this season. The Aggies previously beat the Gauchos 5-4 on Saturday, March 14.

Pezzolo worked 2.2 innings, issuing two walks and striking out five batters.

The Aggies’ upcoming game is set for Saturday, March 21, at 3 p.m. against the Cal Poly Mustangs at Baggett Stadium.
