Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Napa Valley College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Napa Valley College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California residents paid $1,142 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 491.8 percent more than residents this year, or $6,758. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $6,758 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are California residents. And about 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 69 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 320 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.6 million and 3 students took out student loans totaling more than $13,538.

Including all undergraduates (5,503), 3,210 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.7 million, and 57 students took out $410,931 in federal student loans.
