City of Santa Rosa issued the following announcement on Nov. 23.

Fire survivors and property owners impacted by the Glass, Meyers and Walbridge fires are invited to attend a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. to learn more about the Consolidated Debris Removal Program operated by the California Office of Emergency Services. The state-operated debris removal program will begin the process of clearing debris on fire-damaged parcels on Dec. 1. Attendees of the virtual webinar will be able to learn more about debris removal; eligibility for the state program, including the possibility of hazard tree removal; the right of entry application process; and post-fire watershed protection on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. during a virtual Fire Recovery Town Hall hosted by the County of Sonoma and the City of Santa Rosa, in collaboration with state and federal partners.

The event will allow for residents to ask questions of subject matter experts from federal, state and local government agencies as well as nonprofit partners. Community members are encouraged to attend to get answers to their specific questions about the state’s debris removal program, the alternative private cleanup option and other areas of recovery.
