OptumServe will provide COVID-19 testing in Napa Valley starting Tuesday, Dec. 29, according to a county press release.
The company will provide tests as part of a new contract with the State of California. The existing contract with Verily, also known as Project Baseline ended on Dec. 26.
The testing services are offered for free to the public, five days a week between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The testing will occur at the Napa Valley Expo. Mobile testing is now available Tuesdays and Wednesdays, excluding holidays. The state is urging people to get tested if they meet the criteria set forth by the Health Department, which includes:
- Those who are symptomatic
- Frontline healthcare workers
- Vulnerable populations
- Those who are required to by the state’s industry guidance
- Essential workers
- General community members as capacity allows
