Rep. Mike Thompson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 4th district, recently announced two upcoming town hall meetings via social media. Thompson, who has been a member of Congress since 1999 after succeeding Frank Riggs, extended invitations to residents of Yolo and Sonoma counties for these events.

On February 15, 2025, Rep. Thompson invited Yolo County residents to join him for a town hall meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 20th at 5:30 pm at the Woodland Community and Senior Center. He encouraged RSVPs through a provided link or offered an option to watch live on his Facebook page. "Yolo County residents: Join me for a town hall this Thursday, February 20th at 5:30 pm at Woodland Community and Senior Center."

In another announcement on February 16, 2025, he addressed Sonoma County residents about a town hall set for Friday, February 21st at 6:30 pm at Redwood Credit Union Headquarters. Thompson highlighted that the event space is limited to accommodate only 230 guests and advised potential attendees to RSVP or watch online via Facebook. "Sonoma County residents: Join me for a town hall this Friday, February 21st at 6:30 pm at Redwood Credit Union Headquarters."

Later on the same day, Rep. Thompson reiterated his invitation to Sonoma County with similar details about the event location and attendance limitations while providing options for online participation through Facebook streaming. "Sonoma County residents: Join me for a town hall this Friday, February 21st at 6:30 pm at Redwood Credit Union Headquarters."
