Rep. Mike Thompson, who serves California’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates through his Twitter account addressing current issues such as national security, environmental concerns, and legal matters against the administration. Born in St. Helena, California in 1951, Thompson has been representing his district since 1999 following Frank Riggs' tenure.

On March 28, Thompson posted a tweet emphasizing national security and tackling a policy from the Trump administration. The tweet states, "Watch my weekly wrap up below to hear the latest on the national security leak and our efforts to combat the Trump Administration’s plan to cut phone services for disabled Social Security recipients."

The following day, March 29, he announced via Twitter a legislative effort related to agriculture and environmental concerns. His tweet read, "Wildfire smoke is a growing threat to vineyards and winemakers. Proud to introduce the Smoke Exposure Research Act with my colleagues, which would invest $32.5 million to study and prevent smoke exposure, protecting jobs, agriculture, and our communities."

Later that day, Thompson addressed legal challenges against the presidential administration. In a tweet, he wrote, "In just nine weeks, nearly 140 lawsuits have been filed challenging the President’s unlawful orders. Already, 53 federal court orders have blocked or paused his actions. I’ll continue to support lawsuits against the unlawful actions of this administration."
