On March 22, 2025, Rep. Mike Thompson expressed gratitude towards Lake County community members for their participation in a local event. He stated: "Grateful to the over 150 Lake County community members who joined me for 'Coffee with Our Congressman.' I’m committed to fighting Congressional Republicans’ plans to cut health care to fund tax cuts for the ultra-rich."

Later that day, he commemorated an important milestone in American military history. Thompson noted: "84 years ago today, the squadron that later became known as the Tuskegee Airmen were first activated at Chanute Field, Illinois. The airmen’s incredible contributions helped us win WWII and broke barriers for Black airmen. We will always remember their sacrifice and celebrate."

On March 23, 2025, Rep. Thompson highlighted the impact of healthcare legislation over the past decade and a half. He remarked: "For 15 years, the Affordable Care Act has saved Americans millions of dollars in medical bills. That’s why I’m working with my colleagues on the Ways & Means committee to ensure the ACA expanded tax credit is renewed so we can continue to keep costs down for Americans."
