The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors recently held an online community forum to review and inform the public about Sheriff's data on ICE access.
Sonoma County residents were invited to participate in The TRUTH Act forum to learn what the Sheriff’s Office provides to federal immigration authorities in terms of inmate access and information.
The forum was scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
Visitors can view the forum in English at the Board Agenda Calendar or in Spanish on the county's YouTube Channel.
Residents that wanted to make their voice heard and during the meeting could join the meeting using the Zoom web conference platform. The meeting ID for the forum is: 994 5925 7594 and the password is 278432. Residents can also provide comment by calling (669) 900 9128. Comments will be taken in English and Spanish.
This public meeting is required under the TRUTH Act (also known as the Transparent Review of Unjust Transfers and Holds Act) that went into effect in 2017.
