The City of Santa Rosa recently announced that it is allowing limited reopening of some youth and adult recreational sports, gyms and fitness centers, and other limited services.
Gym and fitness center services in the Purple Tier are being permitted to reopen. Purple Tier services include swim lessons with certified instructors and drowning prevention classes. These services have been deemed essential and are permitted in indoor and outdoor swimming pools in all tiers.
Limited services guidance permits indoor personal fitness training as long as guidelines are followed and only one trainer and one client allowed on the business premises at a time.
Outdoor low contact youth and adult recreational sports in the Purple Tier are allowed to resume as long as competitions are between two teams only and out-of-state tournaments are still not permitted.
A list of sports by color tier category can be found on the California Department of Public Health website.
