The City or Fort Bragg announced that nine applications were received for the currently open city council seat, which was vacated by former Mayor William V. Lee.
The appointment term for the seat is under two years, expiring after the November 2022 election. The city council will conduct public interviews during a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, to conduct public interviews of the nine applicants.
According to the press release, the nine Fort Bragg residents who applied are:
1. Mikael Blaisdell
2. Nathan Maxwell Cann
3. Katherine A. Hart, Ed.D.
4. Robert J. Jorgensen
5. Mary Rose Kaczorowski
6. Marcia Rafanan Meadlin
7. Scott M. Menzies
8. Scott Taubold, Ph.D.
9. Evavon Bahr
As town hall remains closed due to COVID-19 health orders, the meeting will be held by video conference. The public is invited to attend the conference via Zoom. A link to the meeting will be included in the meeting’s agenda packet, which will be posted 24 hours prior.
