On December 3, Rep. Thompson expressed his satisfaction with Luca Moretti joining as Lake County’s new field representative. He noted that Moretti has been part of Team Thompson for over two years and is familiar with the Lake community. Rep. Thompson stated, "Glad to have Luca Moretti serving as Lake County’s new field representative. Luca has been with Team Thompson for over two years and has spent time getting to know the Lake community. I know he will provide excellent service to residents."

Later that day, Rep. Thompson discussed the Congressional App Challenge, an initiative aimed at engaging students in coding projects. He congratulated this year's winner and finalists, saying "The Congressional App Challenge is a great opportunity to engage our community’s students in creative, innovative coding projects and I look forward to hosting it each year. Congrats to this year’s winner, Ziqi, and finalists Vera, Siddharth, and Saanvi!"

In another tweet on December 3, Rep. Thompson addressed the ongoing wildfire threats in California and his collaborative efforts with Rep. Doug LaMalfa on legislation aimed at disaster resiliency. He tweeted "Wildfires continue to threaten homes and businesses across our state. That’s why I’m working with @RepLaMalfa to advance the Disaster Resiliency and Coverage Act of 2024 to help bring insurers back to impacted communities in California."
