Rep. Mike Thompson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 4th District, took to social media to engage with his constituents on various issues. A series of tweets highlighted community events, advocacy for transgender rights, and crucial deadlines relevant to his district's residents.

On March 30, 2025, Rep. Thompson reminded high school students in California's Fourth District about the opening of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Expressing enthusiasm for the event, he tweeted, "REMINDER: The 2025 Congressional Art Competition for all high school students in California’s Fourth District is now open! One of my favorite programs of the year, the competition highlights the excellent artistic talents of high school students from our district."

The following day, March 31, 2025, Thompson reflected on #TransgenderDayofVisibility, advocating for the rights and dignity of transgender individuals. He stated, "This #TransgenderDayofVisibility, we stand with those individuals who deserve the right to live their lives free of fear and shame. Now, more than ever, we must stand up for the rights of the trans community."

Additionally, on the same day, he issued a reminder regarding the Medicare General Enrollment Period, which concluded that day. His tweet conveyed urgency, reading, "REMINDER: Today is the last day of Medicare’s General Enrollment Period. Visit the Medicare website to learn more."
