On Twitter, he wrote, "Davis residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours Wednesday, April 9th, from 12 to 2pm. Please drop in to discuss with my team any support you may need and stay tuned for more sessions throughout our district."

The following day, on April 4, 2025, Thompson took to social media to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He stated, "57 years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee for his influential role in the Civil Rights Movement.
