Rep. Mike Thompson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 4th district, has recently shared his views on several significant issues through social media posts. His messages addressed road safety, social security fairness, and education.

On November 17, 2024, Rep. Thompson acknowledged World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims by emphasizing the importance of road safety policies. He stated: "On #WDoR2024 we remember those lost and those affected by road traffic accidents. Let’s honor their memory with action today and recommit to advancing smart road safety policies."

The following day, November 18, 2024, Rep. Thompson expressed pride in supporting legislation that benefits retired public servants affected by specific social security provisions. He noted: "I’m proud to have voted for the Social Security Fairness Act, which eliminates the WEP and GPO provisions that unfairly affect retired teachers, first responders, and government employees receiving social security benefits."

Later on November 18, he also took the opportunity to commend educators during American Education Week. He remarked: "As we celebrate #AmericanEducationWeek, let's honor the dedication of our educators, support staff, and families who are shaping the future of our students."
