Rep. Mike Thompson, serving California's 4th district in the U.S. Congress since 1999, has addressed various local issues through his social media updates. His recent communications highlight both community engagement and urgent weather warnings.

On November 21, Rep. Mike Thompson invited feedback from his constituents regarding childcare challenges. He emphasized the importance of hearing from parents in the district by asking them to fill out a survey on this critical issue. "As your representative, I want to hear from you on key issues. I know many parents in the 4th district are facing childcare challenges. Please take a minute to fill out my latest survey below to let me know your thoughts on childcare in our community."

On November 22, he issued a flood warning for east central Sonoma County, urging residents to remain alert and adhere to local officials' instructions until the warning is lifted at 4 PM the following day. "A flood warning is in effect for east central Sonoma County until 4pm tomorrow. Please be vigilant and follow instructions from local officials."

Later that day, Thompson provided an update on flooding conditions in Yountville, specifically noting that Hopper Creek had overtopped at Oak Circle, causing flooding east of the creek. This update was part of a series of tweets aimed at keeping residents informed about local conditions. "Yountville - Caution Flooding: Hopper Creek has overtopped at Oak Circle. Oak Circle is flooded east of Hopper Creek."
