Rep. Mike Thompson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 4th district, recently shared a series of tweets covering a range of topics from community recognition to personal milestones.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Thompson extended his congratulations to the Lake County Farm Bureau for being named County Farm Bureau of the Year by the California Farm Bureau. He stated, "Congratulations to the Lake County Farm Bureau on being named County Farm Bureau of the Year by the @CAFarmBureau! This is a well-deserved honor. Your work to support our community’s ag producers is essential and I am proud to be a member myself."

Later that day, he commemorated a tragic event that occurred two years prior in Half Moon Bay where seven people were killed and one was wounded in a shooting incident. He expressed his thoughts with, "Two years ago, a shooter killed 7 people and wounded one other in Half Moon Bay. Today, we remember those lost, hold their community close, and recommit to action — because everyone deserves to be safe in their community."

On January 24, 2025, his team took over his social media accounts to celebrate his birthday. The message conveyed appreciation for his dedication: "Team Thompson here! We’ve taken over Congressman Thompson’s social media to wish him a very Happy Birthday! Thanks for your unwavering dedication to the people’s work."
