On February 16, 2025, Rep. Thompson highlighted the significance of almond farming in his district by marking "#NationalAlmondDay with the Almond Alliance." He noted that local farmers in Solano and Yolo grow over $164 million worth of almonds annually.
The following day, on February 17, 2025, he invited Napa residents to participate in a town hall meeting. He announced via Twitter: "Napa residents: Join me for a town hall this Wednesday, February 19th at 5:30 pm at CrossWalk Community Church." He encouraged RSVPs and offered an option to watch live on Facebook.
