On March 3, 2025, Rep. Mike Thompson announced the introduction of the Pacific Flyway Habitat Enhancement Act alongside Rep. Doug LaMalfa. In his tweet, he highlighted that this bipartisan bill aims to expand the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program to include more wetlands and provide incentives for farmers to seasonally flood croplands.

Two days later, on March 5, 2025, Thompson shared his honor in having Dr. Amy Herold from Napa’s Providence Health join him as a guest for the presidential address to Congress. In his post, he noted that Dr. Herold was representing local physicians and healthcare providers who are dealing with significant reductions in care.
