Rep. Mike Thompson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 4th district, recently communicated with his constituents through a series of tweets addressing upcoming events and commemorating past tragedies.

On March 9, 2025, Rep. Thompson informed residents of Rio Vista about an opportunity to engage directly with his team. He announced that they would be hosting in-person office hours on Tuesday, March 11th from 2 to 4 pm. He encouraged residents to attend and discuss any support they might need while also hinting at future sessions throughout the district. "Rio Vista residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours this Tuesday, March 11th from 2 to 4pm."

Later that day, Rep. Thompson reflected on a somber anniversary for the community. He marked seven years since the tragic shooting at Pathway Homes in Yountville by remembering those who lost their lives: Jennifer Gonzales Shushereba, Christine Loeber, and Jennifer Golick. In his message, he reiterated his commitment to working in Congress towards preventing gun violence."7 years ago, our community was forever changed by the tragic shooting at Pathway Homes in Yountville."

On March 10, Rep. Thompson extended another invitation for direct engagement with his constituents in Winters. His team planned to hold office hours on Wednesday, March 12th from 11 am to 1 pm. As with previous announcements, he invited residents to drop by for discussions and mentioned more sessions would follow across the district."Winters residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours this Wednesday."
